Walking in Far South Tasmania
Our region abounds with excellent walking tracks.
Some of our favourites...
South Cape Bay- approx 4 hour return walk which takes you to the southernmost accessible point in Australia.
Duckhole Lake- a beautiful short walk (1 hour return) to the peaceful Duck Hole Lake where platypus are often sighted.
Fishers Point at Cockle Creek takes you on a gentle beach walk with a historical bent...enjoy exploring the ruins of the pilot station still standing from the bygone days of Whaling.
The Hartz Mountains offer several walking track options from Lake lookouts to the magical vistas from Hartz Peak.
